Program Assistant: Events and Activities

Office of Special Programs - College Prep

The Office of Special Programs-College Prep's after-school program for high school students seeks an outgoing, highly organized 3rd or 4th year undergraduate or graduate student with demonstrated skills and ability to prioritize tasks, adhere to deadlines, and problem solve.

This position assists with the identification and planning of special events and activities for program participants and their parents/guardians that include but are not limited to college access and planning events and activities. The program assistant will:

  • Develop and update monthly department/program calendars
  • Identify and book locations/venues/activities
  • Create schedules and "Run of Event" templates
  • Develop periodic status and progress reports as needed
  • Follow-up, collect and compile activity registrations

Flexible hours:  Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Minimum commitent 10 to 15 hours per week.
