Neighborhood Schools Program
The Neighborhood Schools Program (NSP) is seeking undergraduate and graduate students interested in community youth engagement to assist elementary school teachers in providing children with individualized attention, primarily in STEM subject-areas. NSP Tutors form partnerships with teachers and become vital parts of classrooms and after-school programs. Their work usually includes tutoring individual and small groups of students, helping to prepare lessons, and sometimes working with a teacher to deliver a mini-lesson. Level II STEM tutor positions are for students who have previously worked for NSP (or one of our sub-programs) and their primary focus will be a STEM subject-area. Hours are flexible between 8 AM - 6 PM, and students should expect to work 4 hours/week.
